Reentry & Correctional Services is scoped as a future-phase SkyBridge apprenticeship pathway with a dual focus: supporting justice-involved individuals transitioning back into the workforce, and building a credentialed pipeline for correctional services support roles.
When developed, this pathway will train apprentices in reentry case coordination, employment readiness, correctional services support, and community reintegration — building structured career pathways for one of Alaska's most underserved workforce populations.
Development is contingent on employer partner readiness, legal review, available funding, and SkyBridge program capacity. Employer screening and background check requirements will apply.

A DOL-registered credential in reentry and correctional services would create a portable, recognized career pathway for participants and sector workers alike.
Like all SkyBridge pathways, this will be a paid apprenticeship when launched — no unpaid training, no student debt.
Stable employment is one of the strongest predictors of successful reentry. This pathway directly supports community safety and reduces recidivism.
